Cleveland A Global Finalist for Most Lovable Sustainable City! Help us win!

The World Wildlife Foundation’s “We Love Cities” campaign is searching for the most lovable sustainable city and Cleveland is in the running! The “We Love Cities” campaign selected 34 cities from 14 countries around the world that utilize smarter transportation, cleaner energy, less waste, and more efficient buildings to make the place they live more sustainable.

Cleveland has been selected due the efforts of the City’s Office of Sustainability. Every year, leading up to 2019, the City of Cleveland focuses on one fundamental area necessary to maintain a sustainable economy. In 2013, the City celebrated “The Year of Advanced and Renewable Energy” where renewable energy programs and technologies were focused on as a catalyst for sustainable job growth. Additionally, the City of Cleveland’s municipal aggregation program won high praise from the World Wildlife Foundation in 2013 when it was named “A Bright Place to Live” for providing residents with 100% renewable energy.
