City Hall Gets Wi-Fi!

Today, Wi-Fi internet access was made available throughout City Hall and the adjacent Mall C property. This  project was funded by capital dollars, and cost an estimated $35,000.

32 access points were installed around City Hall for open access (no password required) to the internet. When connecting to the Wi-Fi network, users will see a number of different Wi-Fi system names  to select from, users will then select the “CHPH GUEST” for open internet access. Once a connection has been established, the person must agree to the City’s terms of usage. After the person has agreed, he or she can go either to the City’s website or to the internet.

The primary purpose of this network is to allow our residents, vendors, and visitors wireless access during their visit to City Hall. In addition, there will be minor changes during the next few weeks to optimize service.
