Cleveland Mayor Frank G. Jackson wants to remind you that today is the day to enroll in the new Online Health Insurance Marketplace. The Marketplace, also known as the exchange, is a key provision of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Individuals and families will now be able to shop among affordable choices, explained in easy-to-understand language. In addition, those with the lowest income levels will now be able to attain coverage for free.
“The Marketplace will give Cleveland families and individuals access to low cost and for some – no cost – health insurance,” said Cleveland Mayor, Frank G. Jackson. “The City of Cleveland will continue to work with the Department of Health and Human Services, our Department of Public Health, Cleveland City Council and our local healthcare partners throughout the following months to help residents get the coverage they need.”
Enrollment begins today, October 1st and ends on March 31, 2014. Stay up-to-date on Twitter using the hashtag #ACAinCLE.
