Mayor Jackson presented a proclamation to City of Cleveland Division of Recreation employee William Morrison on Thursday, December 19. Mr. Morrison was commended for his commitment and dedication to the safety of our community as an employee of the City of Cleveland.
Mr. Morrison upheld this responsibility when he acted upon a suspicious situation. This action led to the arrest of a predator and saved a young woman from further abuse. Beyond this action, Mr. Morrison is an accomplished young man. A graduate of Glenville High School, he has served in many leadership roles including as President of the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Committee for two terms and a graduate of the City of Cleveland Youth Development Program. His actions embody the work of a tireless public servant, an outstanding leader and dedicated employee of the City of Cleveland. Mayor Jackson invited all Clevelanders to join in thanking Mr. Morrison for his service. He is truly a role model for all City employees and his work is to be commended.
