K-9 Jet: EOW 2-24-14

The Cleveland Division of Police is sad to announce the passing of one of our police canines.  Jet, a 13 ½ year old black German Shepherd Dog expired today as a result of old age and some medical problems.  He will be greatly missed, especially by his handler, Patrol Officer Antonio Colon.

Jet was born on September 25, 2001 and passed away today, February 24, 2014.  Upon coming to work in the Cleveland Police Canine Unit, he was assigned to Patrol Officer Colon.  Jet was trained in Narcotics detection and spent his days with Officer Colon assisting both Cleveland Police officers, as well as officers of partnering agencies, to perform their duties and take drugs off of the street.
