Mayor Jackson Delivers Oath of Office to Two New Cleveland School Board Members

On May 12, 2014, Mayor Frank G. Jackson delivered the oath of office to Ericka L.  Abrams and Anne Bingham as they begin their service on the Cleveland Municipal School District (CMSD) Board of Education. Mrs. Abrams will serve an unexpired term ending June  30, 2015 and Ms. Bingham will serve a full term ending June 30, 2017.

Ericka L. Abrams

Ericka L. Abrams is a Public Health Practitioner, Certified Lactation Counselor, and professor  of health services administration, with more than fifteen years of experience in Community  Health Education, Clinical Research, and Community-based Participatory Research. A proud  product of the Cleveland Municipal School District and East High graduate, Abrams earned a bachelor’s degree in Community Health Education from Clark Atlanta University and a Master’s of Public Health from Case Western Reserve University. She is currently pursuing a  doctorate in public health from Walden University. She is founder and CEO of Restore the  Village™, a community-based public health organization. She resides in the Union Miles  community with her husband Darryl and their two young children.

Anne Bingham

Anne Bingham, currently Assistant Vice President at Fifth Third Bank, has been in  commercial banking and private banking in Cleveland for more than 25 years. She earned an  MBA from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, and an undergraduate degree in  French from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. Bingham has served on several  boards including Community Housing Solutions and most recently Friends of Breakthrough  Charter Schools. She currently serves on the Women’s Programming Committee at The Union  Club.

Bingham has lived in the West Park neighborhood of Cleveland for more than 20 years.  When not working, she enjoys traveling and exploring the rich neighborhoods of our city.
