Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd Resurfacing Project
On Monday, July 7, 2014, the westbound lane of North Park Boulevard will close at Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard as part of the MLK resurfacing project. Westbound traffic on North Park at Coventry Road will be detoured to the south along Coventry and then west along Fairhill Road to MLK.
Local access on North Park Boulevard will be maintained at all times. This detour will be in place for approximately 6 weeks. This Project extends along 1.2 miles of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard from Buckingham Avenue to Cedar Avenue.
The project includes roadway base repair, removal of existing asphalt and replacement, new ADA compliant curb ramps, new curbs and driveway aprons as needed, and new pavement markings including bike lanes in each direction between Buckingham Avenue and Stokes/Fairhill. Project completion is scheduled for November, 2014. Expect additional traffic notices as work progresses.
Puritas Ave Resurfacing Project
Effective Monday, July 7, 2014, construction will begin, weather permitting, on Phase II of the resurfacing project along 2.3 miles of Puritas Avenue from SR 237 to W. 130 Street. This phase of the project will consist of work on the existing eastbound lanes of Puritas Avenue between Rocky River Drive and W. 150th Street, as well as the eastbound lanes of Puritas Avenue and Bellaire Road, between W. 150th Street and W. 130th Street.
Access to all businesses, residences and side streets will be maintained during construction. The project will include roadway base repair, removal of existing asphalt and replacement, new ADA compliant curb ramps, new curbs and driveway aprons as needed, and new pavement markings including bike lanes in each direction. Expect additional traffic notices as work progresses.
Murray Hill Brick Restoration Project
On Tuesday, July 8, 2014, weather permitting work will begin on Phase 2 of the Murray Hill Brick Restoration Project. This Project extends along Murray Hill Road from Mayfield Road to Adelbert Road. During this phase, one-way traffic in the northeast direction will be maintained on Murray Hill from Cornell Road to Mayfield Road.
Southwest traffic along Mayfield Road will be detoured southwest on Random Road and southeast on Cornell Road to Murray Hill.
Access to all businesses, residences and side streets will be maintained during construction. On-street paring will not be permitted during this phase of the project.
The project includes roadway base repair, removal and replacement of existing asphalt, and brick repairs. Project completion is scheduled for July 31, 2014. Expect additional traffic notices as work progresses.
