Fleet Avenue Rehabilitation Project Work Zone Revision

On Thursday, April 30, 2015, weather permitting, the intersections of East 59th Street and East 63rd Street and Fleet Avenue will be close to replace concrete pavement at the intersections. This closure will remain in place for a minimum of 21 days.

road-closed_13252-e1348607999917The existing work zone on Fleet Avenue from East 49th to East 65th Street, which is currently restricted to eastbound traffic, will remain in place. Advance notice signs will be posted to advise Fleet Avenue traffic of the construction. Access to all driveways will be maintained during this phase of the project. On-street parking will be prohibited.

The Fleet Avenue Rehabilitation Project will reconstruct 1.03 miles of Fleet Avenue including pavement replacement between Independence Road to East 65th Street and resurfacing Fleet Avenue from East 65th Street to Broadway Avenue. The project construction will also include streetscape improvements and a NEORSD stormwater facility.

The entire project is scheduled for completion by July 2016.
