City Parking Rates Increase on June 15

Effective Monday, June 15, 2015, rate increases for city garages and all parking meters will go into effect. Legislation passed in April 2015 permitted the Division of Parking to increase rates and use additional revenue to pay for lot maintenance and make upgrades to parking meter technology. All meter rates will increase by 25 cents and all lot rates will increase by one dollar.

The rate increase will be as follows:

Parking Meters

Central Business District New rate: $1.00 per hour Previous rate: 75¢ per hour
Institutional Zones New rate: 75¢ per hour Previous rate: 50¢ per hour
All Other Areas of City New rate: 50¢ per hour Previous rate: 25¢ per hour

Willard Garage – Operational Hours 5:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. Weekdays

First hour New rate: $3.25 Previous rate: $2.25
Each additional half hour New rate: $1.50 Previous rate: $1.25
Maximum Rate New rate: $10.00 Previous rate: $9.00
Lost Ticket New rate: $10.00 Previous rate: $9.00
Early Bird (8:30 am) New rate: $8.00 Previous rate: $7.00

Northcoast Municipal Parking Lot (Muni Lot) – Operational Hours 5:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.

Daily rate New rate: $4.00 Previous rate: $3.00
Monthly rate New rate: $70.00 N/A

 

Canal Parking Lot – Operational hours 5:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Weekdays

Daily rate New rate: $2.00 Previous rate: $1.00
