City of Cleveland Snow Event Update

January 31, 2017

City of Cleveland Streets:

The emergency snow parking ban remains in effect until further notice.

This morning there are 57 – Snow Plows and 9 – Road Graders on the streets conducting snow removal operations.

Due to the snow fall last evening and this morning we have turned our efforts back onto the mains. However, before pulling out of the residential streets we were able to clear over 80% of the 292 subsections in the residential streets.

We estimate returning back to residential streets by noon today.

Cleveland Hopkins International Airport:

Over the past 24 hours Cleveland Hopkins International Airport has been fully staffed in accordance with the FAA approved Snow and Ice Plan allowing us to keep ahead of the snow fall. A total of 2.3 inches fell overnight bringing the season total up to 20 inches compared to 8.8 inches during the same period last year.
