  • USS COD Submarine Memorialopened for daily public tours May 1, 2017, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • 2nd Annual Tri-C Veterans Workforce Job Fair – May 22nd

The Tri-C Veterans Initiative wants to alert all veterans and military dependents about the College’s 2nd Annual Workforce Job Fair May 22, 2017.  The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Tri-C Advanced Technologies Training Center (ATTC) at the corner of East 30th Street and Woodland Ave. on the Tri-C Metro Campus.

Hosted by the  Northeast Ohio VA Healthcare System In Partnership with the Cuyahoga County Veteran Service Commission and the Department of Veterans Affairs – Vet Center

If you served in the military, you may qualify for VA and County benefits. Outreach/enrollment specialists will be on site along with Cuyahoga County Veteran Service Officers and Readjustment Outreach Specialists from the East Side/West Side Readjustment Counseling Service – Vet Centers.

  • Cleveland Mayor Jackson’s Job Match

Mayor Frank G. Jackson is hosting the first Mayor’s Jobs Match Week May 15-19. The event is at five recreation centers throughout the City and will connect Clevelanders with meaningful work and opportunity. All participating employers –including the City of Cleveland –are hiring now. Participating companies include United Parcel Service, RTA, Key Bank , Nestle and more.

Available positions range from entry-level to mid-management and technology.

  • Cleveland Tank Plant Homecoming Military Show and Swap Meet

The International Exposition (I-X) Center and the Military Vehicle Preservation Association announced the 42nd annual MVPA International Convention will be held in conjunction with the Cleveland Tank Plant Homecoming Military Show and Swap Meet June 22-24, 2017 at the I-X Center.

  • Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame

The Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame seeks to recognize those Ohioans who have worn the uniform of this Nation’s Armed Forces, performed their military duties, and then continued to contribute to community, state and nation in an exemplary manner. These outstanding contributions may, for example, be in the areas of professional, civic, veterans’ advocacy, public service or significant contributions over the life of the nominee. Nomination must be received no later than June 30, 2017.

  • USS COD Dutch Friendship Day: join the COD as they reenact the USS COD’s WWII rescue of 55 crewman from the Dutch Submarine 019 at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017.
  • Annual Veterans Day Ceremony and Parade

The City of Cleveland will partner and host the annual Veterans Day ceremony and Parade on Friday, November 10, 2017.
