‘Tis the season of sunshine, pools, sunglasses and ice cream. And the latter could win you lunch with Mayor Frank G. Jackson and Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams.
This summer, children in neighborhoods around Cleveland will see the city’s new ice cream truck staffed by members of the Cleveland Division of Police. In addition to serving cold tasty treats to children, the ice cream truck is an opportunity for Cleveland Police to engage with children in a positive way. In addition, the City of Cleveland is hosting a social media contest to spread the word about the new ice cream truck. The prize? Lunch with Mayor Frank G. Jackson and Police Chief Calvin Williams at City Hall – on us, of course.
The truck is made possible by donated ice cream from our friends at Pierre’s Homemade Ice Cream and the Cleveland Police Foundation.
How to Enter
To enter the contest, children or their parent/guardian need to do the following:
- Grab some free ice cream when the ice cream truck rolls through your neighborhood
- Snap a photo of yourself with the truck
- Post the photo and tag the City of Cleveland on one of our social media accounts: Facebook (@City of Cleveland), Twitter or Instagram at @CityOfCleveland (Note: We can only see photos set to the public setting.)
- Use the hashtag #LetsChillCLE
We’ll reshare photos as they come in. The contest runs now through August 4, 2017 at noon. Only one entry per person, please. We’ll pick a winner at random and announce it on all of our social media accounts. We’ll also reach out via social media.
