The City of Cleveland’s Division of Animal Care & Control currently has 98 CITY DOGS up for adoption and is asking for help to find them homes. As part of a special St. “Pawtrick’s” Day promotion, adoption fees are reduced from $61 to just $21 for this weekend only – March 16-18, 2018.

“Even with our dedicated staff and volunteers, with about 100 adoptable dogs in our care, it becomes increasingly difficult to give them each the amount of enrichment and attention they all deserve – so we are hoping for a lot of adoptions this weekend. Each one of these dogs has an individual, loving personality just waiting to shine as a part of a family,” said Michelle Harvanek, Shelter Operations Manager.

Every adoptable dog is vaccinated, microchipped, spayed/neutered and comes with a county license. Normal adoption processes and policies will be followed during the reduced fee event.

“We have so many wonderful CITY DOGS just waiting for their homes. Whether you’re looking for a running partner or a snuggle buddy, our Adoption Counselors can help you find the right fit,” said Izzy Esler, Adoption/Volunteer Coordinator.

Adoptable CITY DOGS can be viewed at or at the kennel, located at 2690 West 7th St. Regular open hours are Monday-Saturday 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and Sunday noon-2 p.m. Walk-in adoptions are accepted, but appointments are recommended, especially if you have a resident dog to bring to the meet and greet or you are interested in meeting a dog in a foster home. Make an appointment to meet with an Adoption Counselor by emailing or calling the adoption hotline at (216) 664-3476.
