Mayor Frank G. Jackson today announces the hiring of Roger Smith as the manager of the Office of Professional Standards (OPS) in the Department of Public Safety. Smith is scheduled to begin in early June. View his biography here.
“Today I am announcing the hiring of Mr. Roger Smith as the new manager of the Office of Professional Standards,” said Mayor Frank G. Jackson. “He possesses the right experience and leadership skills for this position.”
In this role, Smith will plan, manage, develop work rules, train, coordinate and lead all OPS activities and personnel. He will oversee efforts to increase citizen participation along with research and finance. View the full duty description here.
