Cleveland City Council Finance Committee to Hold 2020 Budget Hearings

The Cleveland City Council Finance Committee will hold its annual budget hearings from Tuesday, Feb. 18 through Thursday, Feb. 27 at 9 a.m. Committee members will convene with members of the City administration to discuss the City of Cleveland’s budget for the 2020 fiscal year.

The schedule for the City of Cleveland’s 2020 budget hearing is as follows:

Tuesday, February 18,  at 9 a.m.

  • The Cleveland City Council Finance Committee will meet with the Mayor Frank G. Jackson, the City Planning Commission, Boards and Commissions and the Office of Quality Control and Performance Management.

Wednesday, February 19, at 9 a.m.

  • The Cleveland City Council Finance Committee will meet with the Department of Public Safety and the Community Relations Board.

Thursday, February 20, at 9 a.m.

  • The Cleveland City Council Finance Committee will meet with the following departments: Public Health, Aging, Law, Port Control, Community Development and Economic Development.

Friday, February 21, 2020 at 9 a.m.

  • The Cleveland City Council Finance Committee will meet with the Cleveland Municipal Court, the Department of Human Resources, the Civil Service Commission, the Office of Equal Opportunity and Capital Projects.

Monday, February 24, 2020 at 9 a.m.

  • The Cleveland City Council Finance Committee will meet with the Department of Building and Housing, the Office of Sustainability, the Office of Prevention, Intervention and Opportunity for Youth and Young Adults, and Public Utilities.

Tuesday, February 25,  at 9 a.m.

  • The Cleveland City Council Finance Committee will meet with the Department of Public Works.

Wednesday, February 26, at 9 a.m.

  • The Cleveland City Council Finance Committee will meet with the Department of Finance and discuss non-departmental expenses and restricted income-tax.

Thursday, February 27, at 9 a.m.

  • If necessary, the Cleveland City Council Finance Committee will continue with budget hearing overflow.
