Cleveland City Council Finance Committee Holds 2021 Budget Hearings

Mayor Frank G. Jackson addressed Cleveland City Council on Feb. 16,  kicking off the 2021 budget hearings. Council will convene with City departmental leadership to hear more about the 2021 budget and have the opportunity to ask questions. To view the Mayor’s 2021 Budget Estimate, click here.

The schedule for the City of Cleveland’s 2021 budget hearing is as follows:

Tuesday, February 16 at 9 a.m.

  • The Cleveland City Council Finance Committee will meet with Mayor Frank G. Jackson, the Office of Sustainability, the Office of Prevention, Intervention, and Opportunity for Youth and Young Adults, the Office of Quality Control and Performance Management, the City Planning Commission and Boards and Commissions.

Wednesday, February 17 at 9 a.m.

  • The Cleveland City Council Finance Committee will meet with the Department of Public Safety and the Community Relations Board.

Thursday, February 18 at 9 a.m.

  • The Cleveland City Council Finance Committee will meet with the following departments: Cleveland Municipal Court, Law, Human Resources, the Civil Service Commission, the Office of Equal Opportunity, Public Health and Aging.

Friday, February 19 at 9 a.m.

  • The Cleveland City Council Finance Committee will meet with the Department of Building and Housing, Community Development, Economic Development and Public Utilities.

Monday, February 22 at 9 a.m.

  • The Cleveland City Council Finance Committee will meet with the Department of Port Control and the Cleveland Municipal Court.

Tuesday, February 23 at 9 a.m.

  • The Cleveland City Council Finance Committee will meet with the Department of Public Works and the Office of Capital Projects.

Wednesday, February 24 at 9 a.m.

  • The Cleveland City Council Finance Committee will meet with the Department of Finance and discuss non-departmental expenses and restricted income-tax.

Thursday, February 25 at 9 a.m.

  • If necessary, the Cleveland City Council Finance Committee will continue with budget hearing overflow.
