Cleveland Police Officer Terminated From Employment

Director of Public Safety Karrie D. Howard announces that a Cleveland Police Officer has been terminated from employment with the City of Cleveland, Division of Police. Patrol Officer David Carpenter, 38, was charged with Domestic Violence in Cleveland Municipal Court in February of 2020.  After the adjudication of the criminal case, an administrative review was conducted and a hearing was held.  Effective August 16, 2021, Patrol Officer David Carpenter has been terminated.  Carpenter was hired in 2015. He was most recently assigned to the Second District.
