Cleveland Division of Police Mourns the Loss of Lieutenant John W. Ludrosky

The City of Cleveland, Division of Police is saddened to announce the passing of one of our Officers, Lieutenant John W. Ludrosky, who passed away suddenly on October 20, 2021.  Lieutenant John W. Ludrosky was hired in September of 2000.  Lieutenant Ludrosky, 56, was a highly regarded member of the Division of Police who was a devoted public servant, husband and father.

“I want to offer my condolences to the family and loved ones of Police Lieutenant John W. Ludrosky,” said Mayor Frank G. Jackson.  “I thank John for the service he provided to the citizens of the City of Cleveland.”

“I want to offer my deepest sympathy to the family, friends and loved ones of Lieutenant John W. Ludrosky,” said Cleveland Director of Public Safety Karrie D. Howard.

“This is a very sad time for the Cleveland Division of Police,” said Cleveland Police Chief Calvin D. Williams. “John was a great supervisor and cared very deeply for the officers he served with.  My heart goes out to his wife, Cari, also a Cleveland Police officer, to their daughter and John’s loving family and friends.”
